Week Of Morning assemblies by i-aSpeaking Parrots
One of the objectives set for the school, this year, was to make students fluent speakers so they can express themselves with clarity and intonation. Action plan: Phase 1 (Show and tell): In this introductory stage of programme (2 students of class I and II) in their respective class spoke about an object for 1-2 minutes. All students participated in it according to their attendance sheet. Phase 2: Students talked on a self selected topic in morning assembly, 5 students spoke daily. Phase 3 (A): Role plays were conducted with 2 roles only, in the classroom (3 dialogues daily which covered 24 students of classes 1 and 2 each day. Phase 3 (B): Selected dialogues were presented in morning assemblies. Phase 4: Role plays with 3-4 roles were conducted. We hope that the speaking parrot programme proved very helpful for students to speak confidently in front of audience. Dear parents,
I congratulate you all for a remarkable performance and commendable achievement of your child in class I. I really appreciate these young children who got through exams first time in their lives and succeeded using their knowledge and skills developed throughout the year. As a teacher I understand that a child at the age of 6 or 7 can't be mature enough to be expected to do flawless or perfect work. Thus we should not expect our children to work like robots doing no mistakes. I, always remain hopeful and optimist and believe in developing my students' potential, effort level, learning behaviour and skills. That naturally result in good grades. I feel very proud in sharing that 10 out of 14 students of class achieved more than 90 % marks. Bingo! I believe a child should have a combination of fun, recreation, confidence and studies.Their school life is a long journey and I request you all to let them enjoy their childhood beside studies. Focus on their learning attitude more than making them run behind grades and I am sure no one can stop them to fly. I wish them all for their bright and successful future.May God bless them. Regards Ms. Rahila |
